Overview
Qatargas (QG) is working with multi-national companies on several expansion projects, which will more than quadruple its production and delivery capacity and result in the world’s largest LNG facility and shipping fleet.
M&H was selected to assist the Qatargas Maintenance Engineering department to 1) develop a complete asset register for upload to their Maintenance Management Software (SAP); and 2) Perform Criticality Analysis and RCM to develop maintenance strategies and task lists by equipment type. The scope of work included QG1, QG2, QG3 and QG4, which total more than 400,000 unique maintainable assets.
To develop the asset register, our team obtained engineering documents from the document management system, validated existing tags, researched discrepancies, enhanced the register as necessary, built an asset hierarchy and cleansed all entries to ensure data was aligned with QG data standards and was up-loadable to the maintenance management system (SAP).
M&H also assisted QG to develop formal maintenance strategies and built preventative maintenance task lists based on equipment type and maintenance schedule. Tasks were cleansed to ensure data standardization and provided to the client for direct upload into the maintenance management system.
